The Hamburg-based digital signage provider ACCENTA is increasingly serving customers in other European markets. Following the opening of the Spanish branch in Mallorca a year ago, the Hamburg-based company has now announced the completion of a prestige project in Iceland.
After almost two years of planning, ACCENTA is equipping petrol station pylons with digital signage for the local oil distribution company Oliudreifing. The contract initially covers 60 petrol stations across the island. "We are particularly pleased that we can use both our intelligent monitoring system KIOSK IQ and our user-friendly CMS TVLUTION here," comments Managing Director Jessica Kalla.
The first contact with the Icelanders was made at ISE a year and a half ago: "We had already equipped our pylons with digital signage, but we needed a more user-friendly CMS to better serve our end customers, the petrol stations," says Arnar Hreidarsson, project manager at Oliudreifing. In addition to current price information, the pylons at the Icelandic petrol stations also display advertising. "We switched to LED and needed a system that would present the content intuitively but also ensure that the adverts really work, which is a challenge in our climatic conditions," comments Hreidarsson. "ACCENTA's services fit our requirements and we are now equipping two operators' petrol stations with the new system," adds Hreidarsson.
"We send a price enquiry to the central database at short intervals and monitor the uptime via the KIOSK IQ monitoring system and rectify faults. In addition to the temperature, we also collect humidity data, among other things, in order to recognise and prevent possible failures at an early stage. We are very proud to have passed this moose test for our system suitability and to have held our own in competition with international providers," says Jessica Kalla.
Oliudreifing is the leading oil distribution company in Iceland. It was founded over 25 years ago. In addition to its fleet of tankers and a ship, the company has a huge service department that looks after hundreds of petrol stations throughout Iceland.
Oliudreifing offers services ranging from simple maintenance to the construction of a petrol station. Part of the scope of services includes digital signage for two Icelandic petrol station operators. More information at https://odr.is
