Hamburg - 1 July 2023 - St. Peter-Ording is one of the most popular holiday resorts in Germany and is located on the North Sea coast of Schleswig-Holstein. The tourism centre of St. Peter-Ording is pursuing ambitious digital plans and is relying on outdoor systems from the Hamburg-based provider ACCENTA to get closer to this goal: "We are focusing on sustainability, flexibility and want to keep up with the times," says Thies Jahn, Head of Tourism and Dünen-Therme, explaining the investment decision.
The first installations are 55-inch outdoor systems that have been placed in front of the new visitor attraction, the "Erlebnis-Hus", on the adventure promenade. In a second step, further information pillars will follow in the municipal area: "We record over two million overnight stays every year, which means that our visitors need to be informed promptly about what is happening in our four districts. Here, digital offers are simply faster and more resource-efficient than conventional means of communication," comments Thies Jahn on the tourism centre's strategy.
"We are delighted with the trust placed in us and see an increased demand for our products in the municipal sector," says Jessica Kalla, Managing Director of ACCENTA, commenting on the project. "Our outdoor pedestals impress with their sleek appearance, good workmanship and our intelligent KIOSK IQ monitoring system, which guarantees the customer operational reliability," concludes Kalla.
ACCENTA was founded in 2009 and is active on the German and international market with three business areas (music, signage, monitoring). The in-house KIOSK IQ-BOX can control temperature, humidity, light and motion sensors, heating and ventilation components, players and screens in a cloud. KIOSK IQ can be retrofitted into existing installations and guarantees perfect maintenance and experience management as well as 50% cost savings on maintenance, optimised energy efficiency and longer equipment life.
