ISE 2023: Accenta presents smart DS monitoring

26. January 2023

Accenta participates at the ISE 2023 with its intelligent monitoring product Kiosk-IQ.

In the past year, the analysis solution has been further developed - including expanded energy management.

Accenta will be back at the ISE in 2023.

The Hamburg-based company Accenta will present new developments for the intelligent monitoring of digital signage networks at ISE 2023 in Barcelona. As Managing Director Jessica Kalla explains, the solutions have been further developed since the ISE appearance in 2022; Accenta also expanded the energy management.

For example, the Kiosk-IQ solution now integrates Dynascan, LG, Samsung and Vestel with its digital box, having previously done so for Philips. The Kiosk-IQ box measures temperature, humidity, light as well as movement and controls heating and ventilation components on players and screens. Display, environment or player data is transmitted to a cloud-based dashboard and documented there.

"Digital signage is becoming increasingly business-critical, which means that professional and proactive monitoring concepts are becoming more and more important," explains Jessica Kalla. "Homemade solutions will continue to have their right to exist in the future, but with limitations. The more international and sophisticated the installation, the more important monitoring products such as Kiosk-IQ will become, which proactively detect, analyze and fix defects remotely."

The problem: For many in the digital signage industry, monitoring is "the black box of digital signage installations," as the CEO puts it. "Often customers and integrators realize too late what needs to be fixed, leading to frustration and dissatisfaction with the installed network." Kiosk-IQ closes this gap, she says, and delivers a return on investment within twelve months.

Brightness as desired

In the area of energy management, the customer decides to what extent the brightness should be modified. "Depending on the customer's wishes, we can adjust the sensors in terms of brightness and movement so that we can flexibly change or reduce the light intensity, which leads to significant energy savings," describes Jessica Kalla.

Accenta will also be presenting a range of its new slimline posters at the trade fair. The company can be found in Barcelona at booth 6H800.
